Available Internship Positions

1. Intern – Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) internship focuses on supporting climate and environmental projects while building national capacities in these critical areas.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in or have recently graduated from a postgraduate degree programme (master’s or higher), or have recently graduated with a first-level university degree related to Economics, Business Management, Public Administration, Project Management, or a relevant field.
  • Must be able to commit to a 6-month consecutive work period.
  • A strong interest in climate and environmental issues is essential.

Languages:

  • Fluency in both English and Amharic (written and spoken) is required.

Location:

  • Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

2. Intern – Disaster Risk Management (DRM)

This position is designed to support climate change, disaster risk reduction, and natural resource management initiatives under UNDP Ethiopia’s strategic goals.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in or have recently graduated from a postgraduate degree programme (master’s or higher), or have recently graduated with a first-level university degree related to Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Change, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or a related area.
  • Must be available for 6 consecutive months of commitment.
  • A strong passion for disaster risk management and climate-related themes is encouraged.

Languages:

  • Fluency in both English and Amharic (written and spoken) is required.

  • Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
