Position Overview
Position: Health Systems Strengthening (HSS) Intern
Location: Addis Ababa

As an HSS Intern, you will play a key role in supporting initiatives that transform Primary Health Care (PHC) facilities in Ethiopia’s pastoral regions. The focus will be on enhancing access, quality, and utilization of Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health and Nutrition (RMNCAH-N) services.
Qualifications
To be considered, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Education: Medical Doctorate
- Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication in English.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Team player with an appreciation for diversity.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Key Responsibilities
As an HSS Intern, you will engage in a variety of activities, including:
- Reviewing proposals, research tools, and guidelines related to project activities.
- Conducting basic research on health-related topics as requested.
- Supporting the preparation and review of important documents.
- Organizing meetings, events, and engagements as assigned by your mentor or supervisor.
- Preparing meeting notes and briefs on project engagements.
- Participating in capacity-building initiatives facilitated by JSI.
- Performing other tasks and assignments as directed by your supervisor.
